Casting a large cast/ensemble (20 plus members) for the Three Rivers Community Players production of
“The SpongeBob Musical."
We welcome and encourage performers of ALL skill levels, ethnicities, backgrounds and identities to audition.
Casting ages as follows:
Principal and Featured Roles: High school/college age to mature (15 and up, with a large number of the roles cast 18+)
General Ensemble: Middle school age to mature (12 and up)
Youth Ensemble: A pair consisting of a youth (ages 8-11) and an adult (18+) responsible for the minor. The pair will appear on stage together in several production numbers.

Synopsis:
When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world!

The SpongeBob Musical is based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg and features a book by Kyle Jarrow, with original songs by Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley. Additional lyrics are by Jonathan Coulton, with additional music by Tom Kitt. The musical production was conceived by Tina Landau.

Those with no dance experience are encouraged to review the movement routines on this site

All who are cast are required to become members of the Three Rivers Community Players. In addition, a small participation fee is required. Fees may be offset by production volunteer time and/or finding a sponsor.

Given the show stopping nature of this production, all cast members will be expected to participate in "cast as crew" activities to aid in the progression of the story.
